Movie movie spree~

Went midvalley for movies today. Watched 127 hours and Beastly. After quite some time being a couch potato at home, i decided that i should be one in the cinema too! =D

The first movie, 127 hours.

"127 Hours" is the true story of mountain climber Aron Ralston's (James Franco) remarkable adventure to save himself after a fallen boulder crashes on his arm and traps him in an isolated canyon in Utah. Over the next five days, Ralston examines his life and survives the elements to finally discover he has the courage and the wherewithal to extricate himself by any means necessary, scale a 65-foot wall and hike over eight miles to seek help. Throughout his journey, Ralston recalls friends, lovers (Clemence Poesy), family, and the two hikers (Amber Tamblyn and Kate Mara) he met before his accident.

I rate this movie 4/5 cause it's nice! =D
There are also some essence of SAW in the movie. And by that i mean the moment where he finally gathers the will to apply enough force to his forearm to break it and severs his arm with the dull knife, fashioning a crude tourniquet out of rope and using a carabiner to tighten it.

He wraps the stump of his arm and takes a picture of the severed portion he is leaving behind. Woo! I like the picture moment! Damn.


Second one, Beastly.

Beastly is a romatic fantasy film, a modern-day take on the "Beauty and the Beast" tale where a New York teen is transformed into a hideous monster in order to find true love.

I rate this movie 3/5 because it was rather disappointing to find out that the handsome guy i wanted to watch so much appears to be ugly in the movie, most of the time! =.="

Ironically, Kyle's personal tutor, Will (Neil Patrick Harris) attracts me more. Haha! He always say the right thing at the right time. Just like old Barney in How I Met Your Mother. He's funny! =D
